Involvement from the profession sits at the heart of self-regulation and what we do here at CLPNNS. Through self-regulation, our members possess a specialized body of knowledge that places them in the best position to govern their profession when combined with public input from key public representatives. We are always seeking professional, competent and passionate individuals to contribute to the work of CLPNNS and to the direction and vision of the nursing profession.
The College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia (CLPNNS) and the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia (CRNNS) are committed to seeking your feedback on practice support documents and resources. While the documents are based on evidence and best practice, we need ensure that the guidance we’re providing is also clear, relevant and inclusive. To help us with this work, we are looking for nurses to provide feedback on the documents before they are finalized and shared with registered nurse (RN) and licensed practical nurse (LPN) members.
The Colleges are currently seeking feedback on two practice support documents:
- Adding Interventions to a Nurses’ Scope of Practice
- Telenursing: Practice Guidelines for Nurses
If you are interested in participating in our review of one or both of these practice support documents, please follow our simple steps below by Friday, March 15, 2019. This process should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete. Participation is anonymous.
You will be asked to provide feedback for each section of the practice support documents. Since the surveys ask specific questions about the sections, we ask that you review the document before proceeding. It may also be helpful to have the document open as you complete the survey so that you can reference specific sections of the document. The more specific the feedback, the better able we will be to understand and apply your feedback to the final document.
